Bioinformatics

Dr. Dvorkin-Gheva completed her PhD studies in computational biology at Tel-Aviv University and focused on bioinformatics of cancer during her postdoctoral studies at McMaster University. Her analytical expertise combined with knowledge of multiple research disciplines allows her to design various customized analytical workflows and find creative solutions to unconventional and unique questions.

Areas of expertise:

  • Integrative statistical analysis of multi-dimensional cancer genomics dataset
  • Pre-processing, normalization, and quality control of –omics data (RNAseq, single cell RNAseq, DNAseq, AIRRseq, ChIPseq, microarrays, Nanostring, etc)
  • Analysis, visualization and interpretation of –omics data:
    • transcriptomics (RNAseq, single cell RNAseq, microarrays, Nanostring, shRNA screens, CRISPR),
    • genomics (DNAseq, including targeted DNAseq, AIRRseq for TCR and BCR repertoire, motif search),
    • epigenetics (ChIPseq),
    • proteomics (protein docking, BioID),
    • metabolomics (metabolomics profiles),
    • autoantibody arrays
  • Experience with bioinformatics resources, databases, tools and common standard formats
  • Development of predictive signatures/markers
  • Analysis of data obtained from pharmacological models of psychiatric disorders

Analytical services are available to academic and non-academic researchers on a fee-for-service basis.
